hi all,
I try to use my old vcr Loewe 975H. Using fast rewind or forward, I can see the images (of course at great speed) and the still
image is ok too.
But at normal speed, the image and sound is correct for a fraction of second and after everything is very bad.
The display shows TRACK.
Thanks in advance for any idea for improving this.

Thanks gman,

I tryed already to clean them with a cleaning cassette without anything better.
If the head is worn, is there something to do or I just have to put the vcr in the bin ?

I am no expert but it really sounds like one of the 2 heads are worn.

to make sure its not just a deep clogged head, do you have a blank tape,
preferrably never used new tape? If so, put the tape in the vcr, and play that
blank tape if the vcr will allow it for approx 5 minutes or so, then take that
tape out and play a known good commercial movie tape.
