Sylvania records by itself

This thing just starts recording for no reason.Will not respond to any
command and has to be unplugged to stop it.The programs set are right
and the clock is set for the right time.The only way to stop it is to
remove all programs set and start over.After the programs are reset it
stop recording but a day or two later does the same thing.
