Splitting my converter box

I have the box all set up with my main TV. I get all channels that I
care for. So I decided to use a splitter so I can view it on my
kitchen TV. That tv is the old analog type. All went well, so I went a
step furthur by using the other end of the splitter going to my TV/
Monitor which I mainly use for my pc. On occasion when boredom comes,
I like to switch and view some tv on this tv/monitor. Doing so has not
given me the same output of channels that I got on the other two
tv's...my main tv and kitchen tv...ie...i cannot get ABC, and PBS
channel 13 here in N.Y.C. BTW, the tv monitor is also hd and i do get
that. Obviously, I have no way to manipulate the antenna...cause that
antenna is giving me all i want on the other 2 sets. Its OTA that I
have been using. Also, I had to do an autoscan on the tv monitor,
which i did not have to do on the analog tv where i get all my
channels. This is a puzzlement.

Autoscan is important for the tuner receiving your OTA signal. You did it with
your converter box and your HDTV. Your old analog TV is really just a monitor
now that it is connected to the output of your converter box and just needs to be
set to either analog chan 3 or 4 (depending on how you have your setup on your
converter box).

Yeah. I'm playing around with a new usenet newsreader, and didn't look carefully
at the date of the 2 msgs I replied to. I realized what I had done about 15
minutes later, but of course the msgs were already posted.
