I got this frustrating setup. I am able to get my digital channels via 'Box". In order to see all those channels I have to have my VCR on. I would like to see those same channels on my YV at times without having to go for another remote ( Box ). Auto scan is different on my digital TV, Samsung 55", as compared to my "Box" auto scan. Mind, the TV and Box are digital. Also, I would like to be able to record at certain times with the VCR. Is there a way that I can accomplish this?

You need to more precisely describe your setup.

What is the "box" for (Roku?, cable/fios channels?, digital to analog
converter, etc.)?

What type of output connection are you using from your "box" and to
which device do you have it connected, TV? VCR?

What do you mean by "YV"?

If the TV is digital, you should be able to receive channels directly
over the air (if you have an antenna and are in a good quality reception
are), or directly from the cable coax without the interposition of any
box (if the TV has a built-in QAM tuner and your cable provider has left
local stations unscrambled).

Your "box" may have an output compatible with an input on your VCR
(probably either RF, composite, or both). If so, you should be able to
record programs.

If you provide answers to the questions, someone should be able to
assist you.
